Vanessa is a freelance writer who lives in Berkshire. She has three grown up children and a faithful wheaten terrier called Archie who everyone thinks is her favourite. Born in Zimbabwe, Vanessa spent the first twenty- five years of her life living in Southern Africa, New Zealand and Australia, before coming to the UK.
Vanessa worked for many years in private and state healthcare before becoming a full time Mum and turning her attention to writing. She has been writing a regular column for the local newspaper for over ten years and contributes features and columns for various local magazine publications. She also spent seven years presenting a book club show for Marlow FM.
She has made many trips to Africa over the years, but during a recent trip to Botswana in 2017, Vanessa’s love affair with the African bush was reignited. After meeting the Helping Rhinos team at a Black Mamba’s event in London, Vanessa was inspired to help where she could and joined the team.
