Sundowner Celebration

Thursday 06 June 2024

Helping Rhinos is back for a very special anniversary event on Thursday 6th June 2024.

Join Helping Rhinos and our project partner Ol Pejeta Conservancy at the prestigious One Great George Street in London for Sundowner Celebration: Toasting 20 Years of Rhino Recovery.

Enjoy a welcome drink on arrival as you catch up with like-minded conservationists, as well as members of both the Helping Rhinos and Ol Pejeta teams, surrounded by the splendour of One Great George Street’s Great Hall.

Live on stage will be Helping Rhinos Founder and CEO, Simon Jones, and Ol Pejeta Conservancy CEO, Justin Heath, who will provide insights into our ongoing conservation efforts in the field, including updates on the latest developments and scientific breakthroughs giving hope for the northern white rhino, the achievements of creating more wild space for Kenya’s black rhino range expansion programme, and we will share the impact your support over the years has had on protecting rhino in their natural habitat.

The evening will also include updates from some of Ol Pejeta’s leading experts, recorded in the heart of Ol Pejeta. All this while we celebrate 20 years of rhino recovery on Ol Pejeta.

Canapés will be served throughout the evening, and you will have the chance to peruse some of the incredible items in this year’s auction. A select number of pieces will be auctioned off on the night in our ever-thrilling Live Auction, including an original by this year’s David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year and Helping Rhinos Patron, Karen Laurence-Rowe.

We do hope you will join us on Thursday 6th June to help celebrate this incredible milestone with one of our key project partners, whilst looking to the future of conservation in Kenya and the work still to be done to preserve this critically endangered species.

Doors will open to Sundowner Celebration at 19:30 BST. Dress code is smart casual.
